Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, minced ger, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, sesame oil, and black pepper.
Marinating
- Place the cod fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over the fish. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes or up to 2 hours in the fridge.
Cooking
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the cod fillets (discard the remaining marinade) and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked through.
Serving
- Transfer the cod to a serving plate and drizzle some of the cooked marinade over it if desired. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
- Serve with jasmine rice or steamed vegetables.
Notes
For the best results, use fresh ingredients. Avoid overcooking the cod to maintain its flaky texture. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
