Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out your pizza dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick. Cut the dough into strips, approximately 1 inch wide.
- Place a small amount of shredded mozzarella at one end of each strip.
- Starting at the cheese end, roll the dough strip towards the opposite end to enclose the cheese. Twist the dough gently a couple of times to form a knot, tucking the ends underneath.
Baking
- In a bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt. Brush this garlic butter mixture liberally over the tops of each knot.
- Place the knots on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Once they’re out of the oven, give them a final brush of garlic butter and a sprinkle of extra parsley if desired. Serve them warm!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes. Unbaked knots can be frozen and cooked from frozen with additional baking time.
