Ingredients
  

For the Donuts
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
For the Maple Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine pumpkin puree, sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, milk, and eggs. Whisk until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, mix all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Lightly grease a donut pan with cooking spray or oil.
  6. Transfer the batter into a piping bag and pipe it into each donut cavity, filling them 2/3 full.
Baking
  1. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  2. Let the donuts cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
Glazing
  1. In a small bowl, combine powdered sugar and maple syrup. Mix until smooth.
  2. Once the donuts are cool, submerge the tops in the maple glaze or drizzle it over.
  3. Allow the glaze to set for a few minutes before serving.
Serving
  1. Enjoy fresh or share with family and friends!

Notes

For a unique flavor, substitute coconut oil or a vegetable oil blend for the vegetable oil. Store in an airtight container for up to three days at room temperature or up to seven days in the refrigerator.
