Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine pumpkin puree, sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, milk, and eggs. Whisk until smooth.
- In another bowl, mix all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Lightly grease a donut pan with cooking spray or oil.
- Transfer the batter into a piping bag and pipe it into each donut cavity, filling them 2/3 full.
Baking
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let the donuts cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
Glazing
- In a small bowl, combine powdered sugar and maple syrup. Mix until smooth.
- Once the donuts are cool, submerge the tops in the maple glaze or drizzle it over.
- Allow the glaze to set for a few minutes before serving.

Notes
For a unique flavor, substitute coconut oil or a vegetable oil blend for the vegetable oil. Store in an airtight container for up to three days at room temperature or up to seven days in the refrigerator.
