Ingredients

Cookie Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate, melted

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and salt.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, powdered sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and beat until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture into the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  6. Fold in the melted white chocolate until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving enough space between each cookie.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  2. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For the best results, ensure your butter is softened (not melted) and consider chilling the dough for 30 minutes before baking to enhance flavors and control spread. Store in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for three months.
