Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Add in the vanilla extract and eggs, mixing until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chopped macadamia nuts and white chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden but the center is still soft.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Chill the dough for thicker cookies. You can also experiment with mixing in other nuts or flavors.
