Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 cups watermelon, cubed Use fresh, ripe watermelon for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice Freshly squeezed is recommended for optimal taste.
  • 1/2 cup sugar Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 4 cups water Use cold water for a refreshing drink.
  • as needed default Ice For serving.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by removing the rind from the watermelon. Cut it into cubes and place it in a blender.
  2. Blend the watermelon cubes until you have a smooth puree. If you prefer a chunkier texture, pulse it just a few times.
  3. If desired, strain the puree through a fine mesh strainer into a large pitcher to remove pulp.
  4. In your pitcher, whisk together the watermelon juice, fresh lemon juice, sugar, and water until the sugar is dissolved.
  5. Fill glasses with ice and pour the Watermelon Lemonade over the ice. Garnish with fresh mint leaves.
  6. Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

For a twist, consider blending in other fruits like strawberries or a hint of cucumber. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days; stir before serving.
