Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cans apple pie filling
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup butter, melted Generously drizzle over cake mix
  • 1 cup caramel sauce Use as desired
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts Optional for added crunch

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Pour the apple pie filling into the bottom of the prepared dish, ensuring it covers the pan evenly. Sprinkle the cinnamon on top.
  3. Sprinkle the entire box of yellow cake mix evenly over the apple layer.
  4. Drizzle the melted butter generously over the cake mix.
  5. Pour the caramel sauce evenly over the top of the cake mix.
  6. If desired, sprinkle the chopped nuts over the top.
Baking
  1. Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for about 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the apple filling bubbles up around the edges.
  2. Allow the cake to cool for a few minutes before serving warm with whipped topping or ice cream.

Notes

For variations, consider using a spice cake mix instead of yellow cake mix. Avoid mixing the ingredients too much to keep the layering intact.
