Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). A hot oven is crucial for achieving that crispy crust.
- On a floured surface, roll out your pizza dough into your desired shape and thickness.
- Spread an even layer of tomato sauce over the base, leaving a small border around the edges for a crust.
- Evenly sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese across the sauce.
- Scatter the chopped bell pepper, sliced onions, and mushrooms over the cheese. Load it up!
- Drizzle olive oil on top and sprinkle with oregano, salt, and pepper for extra flavor.
- Place the pizza on a baking sheet or pizza stone and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Remove your Veggie Pizza from the oven, allow it to cool for a few minutes, slice it into wedges, and serve hot.
Notes
Feel free to swap or add your favorite veggies—artichokes, spinach, or olives work beautifully. To avoid a soggy crust, pre-bake the crust for 5 minutes before adding the toppings. Leftovers can be covered tightly in foil and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
