Ingredients

Pizza Base
  • 1 piece pre-made pizza dough Store-bought or homemade
Toppings
  • 1 cup tomato sauce Preferably homemade or store-bought, with no alcohol
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 piece bell pepper, chopped Any color
  • 1 piece onion, sliced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
Seasoning & Oil
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • to taste salt and pepper

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). A hot oven is crucial for achieving that crispy crust.
  2. On a floured surface, roll out your pizza dough into your desired shape and thickness.
  3. Spread an even layer of tomato sauce over the base, leaving a small border around the edges for a crust.
  4. Evenly sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese across the sauce.
  5. Scatter the chopped bell pepper, sliced onions, and mushrooms over the cheese. Load it up!
  6. Drizzle olive oil on top and sprinkle with oregano, salt, and pepper for extra flavor.
  7. Place the pizza on a baking sheet or pizza stone and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  8. Remove your Veggie Pizza from the oven, allow it to cool for a few minutes, slice it into wedges, and serve hot.

Notes

Feel free to swap or add your favorite veggies—artichokes, spinach, or olives work beautifully. To avoid a soggy crust, pre-bake the crust for 5 minutes before adding the toppings. Leftovers can be covered tightly in foil and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
