Preparation
- In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour and salt.
- Once the yeast is frothy, add it, along with the olive oil and apple cider vinegar, to the dry ingredients.
- Stir until a dough forms, then transfer it to a floured surface. Knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm area for approximately 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough to release air, then divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place on a greased baking sheet.
- Cover the shaped rolls with a cloth and allow them to rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them warm with your favorite vegan butter or toppings.
Notes
Store leftover rolls in an airtight container for up to 2-3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes.
