Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water (110°F or 43°C) Ensure water is not too hot to preserve yeast's active qualities.
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Method

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour and salt.
  3. Once the yeast is frothy, add it, along with the olive oil and apple cider vinegar, to the dry ingredients.
  4. Stir until a dough forms, then transfer it to a floured surface. Knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm area for approximately 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down the dough to release air, then divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place on a greased baking sheet.
  7. Cover the shaped rolls with a cloth and allow them to rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  9. Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them warm with your favorite vegan butter or toppings.

Notes

Store leftover rolls in an airtight container for up to 2-3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes.
