Preparation

  2. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish to ensure the cake doesn’t stick.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the vanilla cake mix with 1 cup of water, and mix until smooth.
  4. Pour the cake batter into the greased baking dish, spreading it evenly across the bottom.
  5. Sprinkle the ground nutmeg evenly over the batter.
  6. Gently pour the evaporated milk on top of the cake batter without mixing.
Baking
  1. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes.
  2. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick in the center; it should come out clean.
