- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, cut the cold butter into the dry mixture until it resembles coarse cbs.
- Pour in the buttermilk and stir gently until just combined. Avoid overmixing; a few lumps are okay.
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Gently fold it over itself a few times, then pat it into a rectangle about 1-inch thick.
- Use a floured biscuit cutter (or even a glass) to cut out biscuits, placing them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until golden brown on top.
- Allow the biscuits to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy with your favorite spreads or alongside a hearty dish.
