Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb steak (your choice, such as sirloin or ribeye) Choose a Halal-friendly cut if necessary.
  • 4 medium potatoes, cut into bite-sized pieces Any variety of potatoes can be used.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Freshly minced garlic adds the best flavor.
  • 4 tablespoons butter Use Halal-certified butter if necessary.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • to taste Salt Use to enhance flavor.
  • to taste Pepper Use to enhance flavor.
  • optional Fresh parsley For garnish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by washing and cutting your potatoes into bite-sized pieces.
Cooking Potatoes
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the potatoes. Season with salt and pepper, tossing to coat. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally until golden brown and tender.
Preparing Steak
  1. While the potatoes cook, season your steak with salt and pepper on both sides. For extra flavor, let it sit for about 5 minutes before cooking.
Add Garlic
  1. Once the potatoes are nearly finished, push them to the side of the skillet. Add the minced garlic and stir it around for about a minute until fragrant.
Sear Steak
  1. In the same skillet, add the butter and let it melt. Push the potatoes aside and place the steak in the skillet. Sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting the time depending on your desired doneness.
Combine Everything
  1. Once the steak is cooked, remove it from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes. Slice it against the grain and then return it to the skillet, mixing it with the potatoes and garlic.
Garnish
  1. Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley for a touch of color and flavor. Serve hot and enjoy!
