Biscuits and Gravy Base
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 pound ground turkey or sausage
  • 3 cups gravy (homemade or store-bought) vegetarian options available
Egg Mixture
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon oil (for cooking)

Toppings
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar works great)
  • optional diced bell peppers, onions, or spinach for added flavor

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the ground turkey or sausage and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat and set aside.
  3. Open the can of biscuit dough and cut the biscuits into quarters. Place them in the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spreading them out evenly.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until combined.
Assembly
  1. Sprinkle the cooked meat evenly over the biscuit pieces in the baking dish.
  2. Pour the egg mixture over the layers, ensuring everything is coated.
  3. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top, followed by the gravy, ensuring every inch is covered.
Baking
  1. Pop the dish into your preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the eggs are set.
  2. Let it cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve warm!
