Method
Preparation
- Start by boiling some water and brewing your favorite coffee. Let it cool down until it’s lukewarm.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and dulce de leche until it’s smooth and well blended.
Soaking Cookies
- Dip each chocolate cookie quickly into the cooled coffee. You want them to be moist but not soggy!
Layering
- In a rectangular dish, begin your layering process. Start with a layer of soaked cookies, followed by some of the cream cheese and dulce de leche mixture.
- Continue the process until you run out of ingredients, finishing with the creamy topping.
Chilling
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least two hours to allow the layers to set properly.
Serving
- Once chilled, dust the top layer with cocoa powder for that finishing touch before slicing into squares. Serve cold and enjoy!
Notes
To ensure freshness, store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to a week. Can be frozen but should be thawed in the fridge.
