Ingredients
  

For the Dip Base
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning (optional for spice) Optional for an extra kick
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
For Garnish
  • to taste chopped green onions or jalapeños For topping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, taco seasoning, and minced garlic. Stir until smooth and creamy.
  3. Gradually fold in the shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese.
  4. Taste your mixture and add salt and pepper as needed. If you like a kick, mix in some chopped jalapeños.
  5. Pour the mixture into a baking dish or oven-safe skillet, spreading it evenly.
Baking
  1. Place it in the preheated oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes or until it’s bubbly and golden brown on top.
Serving
  1. Once it’s out of the oven, let it cool slightly before garnishing with chopped green onions or your favorite toppings.
  2. Serve warm with tortilla chips, veggies, or bread.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave. Freezing is also an option; just thaw before reheating.
