Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, taco seasoning, and minced garlic. Stir until smooth and creamy.
- Gradually fold in the shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese.
- Taste your mixture and add salt and pepper as needed. If you like a kick, mix in some chopped jalapeños.
- Pour the mixture into a baking dish or oven-safe skillet, spreading it evenly.
Baking
- Place it in the preheated oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes or until it’s bubbly and golden brown on top.
Serving
- Once it’s out of the oven, let it cool slightly before garnishing with chopped green onions or your favorite toppings.
- Serve warm with tortilla chips, veggies, or bread.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave. Freezing is also an option; just thaw before reheating.
