  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed chickpeas, vital wheat gluten, nutritional yeast, vegetable broth, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  2. Use your hands to knead the mixture for about 3-5 minutes until it becomes a cohesive dough. It should be firm yet pliable.
  3. Divide the dough into smaller portions and shape them into your desired chicken-like forms—think patties, strips, or nuggets!

  1. Heat your skillet with a dash of olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add your fashioned vegan chicken pieces and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they’re golden brown and slightly crispy.
