Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, ensuring everything is well incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Fold in the rolled oats and semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
