Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, and finely chopped onion. Mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Pour this mixture into the beef mixture and thoroughly combine until evenly blended.
- Transfer the mixture onto a baking tray, shaping it into a loaf form that is approximately 2 inches tall.
Baking
- Place the loaf in the preheated oven and bake for 60 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- About 10 minutes before the meatloaf is done, pour the beef gravy over the top. Let it bake for the remaining time.
Serving
- Once done, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
For perfect texture, use ground beef with a fat content of about 80%. Avoid overmixing to prevent a dense loaf. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
