Ingredients
  

Fresh Ingredients
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro, chopped Ensure to wash thoroughly.
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped Make sure to wash and dry.
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 unit jalapeño, seeded and chopped Adjust for spiciness.
Liquids
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice Freshly squeezed is best.
Seasoning
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash the fresh cilantro and parsley thoroughly. Pat them dry and chop them finely. Prepare your garlic and jalapeño as well.
Blending
  1. In a food processor, add the chopped cilantro, parsley, minced garlic, and chopped jalapeño. Pulse until everything is finely chopped.
  2. With the food processor running, slowly drizzle the olive oil into the mixture until smooth. Then, add the lime juice. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a bit more olive oil or a splash of water to reach your desired consistency.
  3. Finally, season with salt and pepper according to your preference.
Serving
  1. Transfer your delicious green sauce to a serving bowl and enjoy it immediately with your favorite dishes, or store it in the fridge for later.

Notes

For best flavor, make this sauce just before serving, but it will also taste great after a few hours in the fridge. Store in an airtight container for up to one week or freeze in small portions.
