Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8 inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Remove it from the heat once fully melted.
- Stir in the granulated sugar into the melted butter until combined. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
Baking
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Cooling and Serving
- Let the browkies cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before cutting them into squares.
