- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well between each addition. Follow with the vanilla extract.
- Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper, leaving some space between them.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, until the edges look set and the centers remain soft and fudgy.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store cookies at room temperature in an airtight container for up to one week, or freeze them for up to three months. Reheat in the microwave for 10-15 seconds before serving.
