  • 1 lb ground turkey Ensure it's fresh
  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce Ensure it is alcohol-free
  • 2 cups cooked rice White, brown, or preferred variety
  • 1 cup steamed broccoli Fresh or frozen, fully steamed
  • 1 carrot, sliced Fresh and crisp
  • 1 green onion, chopped For garnish
  • to taste sesame seeds Optional for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Prepare the rice according to package instructions and set it aside when done.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground turkey and cook until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Pour in the teriyaki sauce, stir to coat the turkey, and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Stir in the steamed broccoli and sliced carrots, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  5. Assemble the bowls by placing rice at the bottom and topping with the turkey and vegetable mixture.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Substitutions include ground chicken or beef; avoid using too much teriyaki sauce to maintain flavor balance. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days or freeze separately for longer storage.
