Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb tender steak (such as sirloin or tenderloin), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
Optional Garnish
  • Fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme for extra flavor

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by cutting your tender steak into uniform bite-sized pieces for even cooking. Season generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers to allow for a good sear.
  2. Add the seasoned steak bites to the skillet in a single layer, cooking in batches if necessary. Cook for about 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
  3. Once the steak bites are almost cooked, add the butter to the skillet. As it melts, baste the steak bites with the melted butter.
Serving
  1. Sprinkle fresh herbs over the steak bites before serving. Serve warm.

Notes

For best results, opt for sirloin or tenderloin. Marinate for extra flavor and let rest after cooking to retain juices. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
