  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Use sharp cheddar for more flavor.

  • 1 can diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained Be sure to drain well to avoid watery dip.
  • 1/2 cup cooked chicken, crumbled Use Halal-friendly chicken.
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped For garnish.
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  3. Stir in the drained diced tomatoes with green chilies, crumbled chicken, taco seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Spoon the mixture into an oven-safe baking dish, spreading it evenly.
Baking
  1. Place the dish into the preheated oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes until bubbly and lightly browned.
Serving
  1. Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes. Sprinkle with chopped green onions and serve warm with chips or veggies.

Notes

For variations, you can substitute Halal-friendly sausage or diced veggies for a vegetarian option. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
