Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts Can use thighs for more flavor.
  • 1 cup Sweet Baby Ray's barbecue sauce The star ingredient for flavor.
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth Optional, for added moisture.
Seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • to taste salt and pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Start by trimming any excess fat from the chicken breasts and make sure they are uniform in size.
  2. Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper over the chicken breasts, rubbing it in for even coverage.
  3. Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  4. Drizzle Sweet Baby Ray's barbecue sauce over the chicken, coating well. Add chicken broth if desired.
Cooking
  1. Cover the crockpot and set it on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is cooked through.
  2. Once done, shred the chicken directly in the crockpot, mixing it with the remaining sauce.
Serving
  1. Serve warm over rice, in burgers, or on its own.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days, or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat with a splash of barbecue sauce to revive flavors.
