  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips, unsweetened

  • 1/2 cup softened unsalted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) while you mix your ingredients.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, oats, baking soda, and salt together. Stir well.
  3. In another bowl, beat the softened butter with the brown sugar and granulated sugar until creamy.
  4. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until well incorporated.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips and chopped nuts.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on a wire rack for a few minutes.
