Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) while you mix your ingredients.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, oats, baking soda, and salt together. Stir well.
- In another bowl, beat the softened butter with the brown sugar and granulated sugar until creamy.
- Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until well incorporated.
- Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips and chopped nuts.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on a wire rack for a few minutes.

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week or freeze for up to three months. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes to enjoy fresh.
