Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the applesauce, apple butter, and vanilla extract and stir until well blended.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the almond flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt until evenly distributed.
Baking
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring continuously until combined into a smooth batter.
- Line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper or grease it lightly, then pour the brownie batter into the dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the brownies cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Cut into squares and serve.
Notes
For a fudgier brownie, reduce the baking time slightly. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week or freeze for up to three months.
