Ingredients

For the ice cream
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced Use ripe strawberries for best flavor.
  • 1 cup milk Whole milk works best for creaminess.
  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream A halal-certified dairy-free alternative can be used.
  • 1/4 cup sugar Adjust according to your taste.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method

Preparation
  1. Wash and hull the fresh strawberries. Slice them into halves or quarters.
  2. In a blender, combine the sliced strawberries, milk, vanilla ice cream, sugar, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth, leaving some strawberry bits for texture.
  3. Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness by adding more sugar if desired.
  4. Transfer the mixture to an airtight container and freeze for about 2 hours.
  5. Once set, scoop the ice cream into bowls and enjoy, garnished with additional strawberry slices or your favorite toppings.

Notes

For an extra burst of flavor, consider adding a splash of lemon juice. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 month.
