Preparation
- Brew your green tea leaves and allow them to cool.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk gently to incorporate.
- In another bowl, mix the melted butter, cooled green tea, and lemon juice. Whisk until evenly blended.
- Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined.
- Gently fold the sliced strawberries into the dough.
- On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a rectangle, approximately 1/2 inch thick.
- Starting from one edge, roll the dough up tightly to form a log.
Baking
- Slice the rolled dough into equal portions and place them on a greased baking tray.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for about 25-30 minutes, until golden and cooked through.
- Allow them to cool for a few minutes and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days, or freeze for up to a month. Reheat in the oven at 350°F for about 10 minutes.
