Preparation of Cheesecake Filling
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and creamy.
- In another bowl, pour in 1 cup of heavy whipping cream and beat until stiff peaks form, about 3-4 minutes on medium speed.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated.
Layering
- In a large clear glass bowl or individual dessert cups, start by adding a layer of crushed graham crackers on the bottom.
- Follow this with a layer of the cheesecake mixture, then a layer of sliced strawberries. Repeat until your dish is filled, finishing with a dollop of whipped cream on top.
Chilling
- Cover your trifle and place it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to let the flavors meld and the dessert to set.
Serving
- When ready to enjoy, garnish with additional strawberries on top, and dig in!
Notes
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days. This dessert does not freeze well. To keep layers crunchy, assemble the trifle no more than a few hours before serving.
