  • 1 cup Schmand (sour cream) Ensure it is Halal-compliant
  • 1 cup Frischkäse (cream cheese) Ensure it is Halal-compliant
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, chopped Ensure they are ripe
  • 1 cup whipped cream or non-dairy equivalent For non-dairy option, use coconut cream
For decoration
  • to taste Cookie crumbs or graham cracker crumbs For added crunch on top

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash and chop the strawberries into small pieces. Set them aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, add the Schmand and Frischkäse. Use a hand mixer to whip them together until smooth and creamy.
  3. Gradually mix in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, continuing until everything is well combined and the mixture is fluffy.
  4. Gently fold the chopped strawberries into the creamy mixture, being careful not to mash them.
  5. Slowly fold in the whipped cream until well integrated, creating a light and airy texture.
  6. Transfer the fluff into a serving dish and chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
  7. Serve it with a sprinkle of cookie crumbs on top for added crunch.

Notes

You can store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Freezing is possible but may alter the texture once thawed. Best served chilled straight from the fridge.
