Ingredients
  

For the Pudding Layer
  • 1 cup vanilla pudding mix (instant) Use instant pudding mix for easy preparation.
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 2 cups heavy cream Whipped until stiff peaks form.
For the Fruit Layer
  • 2 large bananas Sliced, use ripe but firm bananas to prevent browning.
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries Sliced.
For the Crunchy Layer
  • 1 cup vanilla wafers Crumble them for topping.
For Garnish
  • fresh mint leaves Optional, for garnish.

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cold milk and vanilla pudding mix. Whisk it vigorously until the mixture thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Gently fold in the whipped cream into the pudding mixture. Be careful not to deflate the cream.
  3. In a 9x13-inch dish, start by adding a layer of pudding at the bottom.
  4. Layer with sliced bananas, followed by sliced strawberries, and sprinkle a layer of crumbled vanilla wafers.
  5. Repeat the layers two more times, finishing with a topping of whipped cream and additional strawberry and banana slices.
  6. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2-4 hours, or until set.
  7. Before serving, garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.

Notes

You can easily swap out any fruits for variations. Make this dessert a day ahead to allow flavors to meld. Avoid overwhipping the cream to prevent graininess.
