- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cold milk and vanilla pudding mix. Whisk it vigorously until the mixture thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
- Gently fold in the whipped cream into the pudding mixture. Be careful not to deflate the cream.
- In a 9x13-inch dish, start by adding a layer of pudding at the bottom.
- Layer with sliced bananas, followed by sliced strawberries, and sprinkle a layer of crumbled vanilla wafers.
- Repeat the layers two more times, finishing with a topping of whipped cream and additional strawberry and banana slices.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2-4 hours, or until set.
- Before serving, garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
Notes
You can easily swap out any fruits for variations. Make this dessert a day ahead to allow flavors to meld. Avoid overwhipping the cream to prevent graininess.
