  1. Prepare the vanilla pudding according to package directions. If using homemade pudding, let it cool slightly.
  2. In a glass trifle dish or individual cups, start by placing a layer of vanilla wafers at the bottom.
  3. Layer in the sliced bananas and strawberries over the wafers.
  4. Carefully pour a layer of prepared vanilla pudding over the fruit, spreading it evenly.
  5. Repeat the layering process with wafers, fruit, and pudding until all ingredients are used, finishing with a final layer of pudding on top.
  6. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
  7. When ready to serve, top with whipped cream and a few extra strawberries or banana slices.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Avoid freezing to maintain texture.
