Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients, being careful not to overmix.
- Fold in crushed Oreos and chocolate chips.
- Scoop dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes until edges are lightly browned.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
