  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 box Stove Top stuffing mix (chicken flavor) (6 oz)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (optional for an extra cheesy twist)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the Stove Top stuffing mix with 1 cup of water and let it sit for about 5 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, prepared stuffing, egg, chopped onion, chopped green bell pepper, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until thoroughly combined.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a baking pan or loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
  5. If using cheese, sprinkle it generously on top of the meatloaf.
Baking
  1. Place the meatloaf in the preheated oven and bake for 45 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  2. Remove from the oven and let it rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.
  3. Slice and serve with your favorite sides.

Notes

Feel free to use ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option. Store leftovers tightly wrapped in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for longer storage.
