Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine the Stove Top stuffing mix with 1 cup of water and let it sit for about 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, prepared stuffing, egg, chopped onion, chopped green bell pepper, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until thoroughly combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking pan or loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
- If using cheese, sprinkle it generously on top of the meatloaf.
Baking
- Place the meatloaf in the preheated oven and bake for 45 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.
- Slice and serve with your favorite sides.
Notes
Feel free to use ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option. Store leftovers tightly wrapped in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for longer storage.
