Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 450 g boneless chicken thighs, sliced
  • 200 g egg noodles Cook according to package instructions.
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 spring onions chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Method

Cooking the Noodles and Chicken
  1. Begin by cooking the egg noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large pan, heat the sesame oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced chicken, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden brown (about 6-7 minutes), ensuring it’s cooked through.
Making the Sauce
  1. Reduce the heat to medium. Add minced garlic and ginger to the pan with the chicken, stirring well to combine. Allow them to sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
  2. Pour in the soy sauce and honey. Stir until the chicken is well coated and the sauce starts to bubble and thicken.
Combining Everything
  1. Toss the cooked noodles into the pan, mixing everything together so the noodles absorb the delicious sauce.
  2. Add chopped spring onions and sesame seeds on top for that extra flair. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For enhanced flavor, marinate your chicken pieces in a bit of soy sauce and garlic before cooking. Feel free to add quick-cooking veggies like bell peppers or snap peas for added nutrition. Watch the garlic not to burn while sautéing - it should be just fragrant. Adjust the sweetness of the sauce as desired.
