Ingredients

Dough and Base
  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted Use for dipping and pouring
Flavorings
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans) Optional filling
  • 1/2 cup raisins Optional filling
Icing (Optional)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar For icing
  • 2 tablespoons milk For icing

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a bundt pan.
  2. Open the crescent roll cans and unroll the dough. Separate the dough into triangles.
  3. In a bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon together until well combined.
Assembling the Ring
  1. Dip each dough triangle into melted butter, then coat with the brown sugar mixture.
  2. Sprinkle some chopped nuts and raisins on the dough if using.
  3. Roll the triangles from the wide end to the tip and arrange them in the prepared bundt pan, overlapping slightly.
Baking
  1. Pour any remaining melted butter and brown sugar mixture evenly over the dough in the bundt pan.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  3. Once out of the oven, allow it to cool for a few minutes. Carefully flip the pan onto a serving plate so the sticky side is on top.
Finishing Touches
  1. If desired, mix powdered sugar and milk in a bowl until smooth and drizzle over the top.
  2. Pull apart the sticky buns, serve warm, and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, ensure dough is cold when handling. Customize your fillings as desired and let the ring cool slightly before flipping for best shape retention.
