Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, instant yeast, sugar, and a pinch of salt.
- Pour in the warm water and vegetable oil. Mix until a dough forms.
Kneading
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Rising
- Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it sit for around 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Shaping
- Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into equal portions (about 8 pieces). Shape each piece into a smooth ball.
Second Rise
- Cover the shaped buns with a cloth and allow them to rest for another 25 minutes.
Steaming
- Prepare a steamer basket lined with parchment paper (to prevent sticking). Place the buns in the steamer, leaving space between them.
- Steam for approximately 15–20 minutes.
Serving
- Carefully remove the buns and let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy with your favorite dips or just as they are!
