Ingredients
  

For the Cake Base
  • 1 box box of cake mix (any flavor you prefer – chocolate, vanilla, or red velvet)
  • 1 can can of frosting (choose your favorite – cream cheese or chocolate chip)
For the Coating and Decoration
  • 1 cup Chocolate or white chocolate for coating
  • to taste Sprinkles (optional, for decoration)
  • 12 Lollipop sticks

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Prepare the cake mix according to package instructions and let it cool completely.
  2. Crumble the cooled cake into a large mixing bowl until fine crumbs form.
  3. Gradually blend in the frosting until the mixture holds together and is slightly sticky.
  4. Take small portions of the mixture and roll them into 1-inch balls, placing them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Refrigerate the cake balls for about 15-30 minutes to firm them up.
Coating
  1. Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until fully melted and smooth.
  2. Dip the tip of each lollipop stick in melted chocolate, then insert it into the center of each cake ball.
  3. Dip each cake ball into the melted chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated, and let the excess chocolate drip off.
  4. Immediately add sprinkles or toppings if desired.
  5. Place the cake pops upright in a styrofoam piece or cake pop stand to cool until the chocolate hardens completely.

Notes

Store cake pops in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week or freeze them wrapped for 1-2 months. Thaw in the fridge before enjoying.
