Brownie Ingredients
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened Use room temperature for best results
  • 2 large eggs Room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup chocolate candies or spring-themed candies (for decoration) Use colorful candies to enhance the festive look

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing just until incorporated. Be careful not to overmix!
  4. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  5. Once cooled, sprinkle the chocolate candies or spring-themed candies on top of the brownies, arranging them in cute patterns if desired.
  6. Cut into squares and serve. Enjoy!

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for a smoother batter. You can customize toppings as desired. Refrigerate the brownies for easier cutting.
