Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing just until incorporated. Be careful not to overmix!
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Once cooled, sprinkle the chocolate candies or spring-themed candies on top of the brownies, arranging them in cute patterns if desired.
- Cut into squares and serve. Enjoy!
