Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Whisk them together and set aside.
Mixing
- In a separate large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract to the butter mixture and mix until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing well until a dough forms.
- Gently fold in the sprinkles until they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Baking
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving some space between each cookie.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are slightly golden.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
These cookies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze them for up to three months. Thaw at room temperature or microwave briefly before serving.
