Preparation
- Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and sriracha to create the marinade.
- Place the chicken wings in a large zip-lock bag or a bowl and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are fully coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, preferably overnight.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Cooking
- Place the marinated wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and discard any leftover marinade. Bake for 25 minutes, turning them halfway through.
- Remove the wings from the oven and brush with additional marinade. Bake for another 10-15 minutes or until crispy.
Serving
- Once out of the oven, sprinkle the wings with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
- Enjoy the flavorful goodness of your homemade spicy teriyaki chicken wings!
Notes
For perfect wings, avoid overcrowding on the baking sheet to ensure crispiness. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days or freeze for up to three months. Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes.
