Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C). This low temperature will allow the flavors to meld while keeping the crackers from burning.
- In a bowl, whisk together the vegetable oil, red pepper flakes, ranch dressing mix, garlic powder, and onion powder until well mixed.
- Place the saltine crackers in a large mixing bowl. Pour the oil mixture over them, and gently toss with your hands or a large spoon until all the crackers are well-coated.
- Spread the coated crackers onto a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake them in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring halfway through to ensure even cooking.
- Once they’re done baking, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few moments. Serve them warm or store them in an airtight container for later.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week, or freeze for up to a month. To reheat, spread on a baking sheet and warm at 250°F (120°C) for about 5 minutes.
