Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups Grapes (green or red, or a mix) Seedless grapes are preferred for easier snacking.
  • 1/2 cup Sour sugar (or citric acid) Adjust the sweetness to your taste.
  • 1/4 cup Water To mix with sour sugar for coating.

Method

Preparation
  1. Rinse the grapes under cold water, remove any stems, and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel. Ensure the grapes are completely dry for proper coating.
  2. In a bowl, combine the sour sugar (or citric acid) with water, and stir until it reaches a thick syrup consistency.
  3. Dip each grape into the syrup, allowing excess syrup to drip back into the bowl. Roll in sour sugar until evenly coated.
  4. Place the coated grapes on a parchment-lined baking sheet and let them sit for about 10 minutes at room temperature. Chill in the refrigerator for about an hour for enhanced flavor.
  5. Serve the chilled Sour Patch Grapes fresh at room temperature for the best flavor.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. For longer storage, freeze coated grapes in a single layer, then transfer to a freezer-safe container for about a month. Thaw and serve cold.
