Bagel Ingredients
  • 1 cup cottage cheese Use full-fat for creamier texture.
  • 2 cups almond flour Can add more if dough is sticky.
  • 2 large eggs For binding the ingredients.
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder For leavening the bagels.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Optional, for extra flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Enhances flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds For topping, optional.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cottage cheese, almond flour, eggs, baking powder, garlic powder (if using), and salt. Stir until well blended to form a doughy consistency.
  3. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll each into a ball. Create a hole in the center of each ball to form a bagel shape.
  4. Arrange the shaped bagels on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top of each bagel if desired.
Baking
  1. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.
  2. Allow to cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven or toaster.
