For the Base
  • 1 box graham crackers (about 14 crackers, crushed) Crushed graham crackers for the base.
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted) Melted for mixing with graham crackers.
  • ½ cup brown sugar For added sweetness.
For the Filling
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate bars (or chocolate chips) Layered over the base.
  • 2 cups marshmallows (mini or regular) The star of the dessert.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the crushed graham crackers and melted butter. Mix well until the texture resembles wet sand.
  3. Grab a 9x9-inch baking dish and press the graham cracker mixture firmly into the bottom until it’s evenly packed.
  4. Layer the semi-sweet chocolate evenly over the graham cracker base.
  5. Scatter your marshmallows over the chocolate layer, ensuring they are evenly spaced.
  6. Sprinkle brown sugar lightly over the marshmallows.
  7. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the marshmallows are golden brown and gooey.
  8. Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for about 10-15 minutes. Slice into squares and serve.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. For optimal gooeyness, store in the refrigerator and reheat in the microwave for 10-15 seconds.
