Salad Ingredients
  • 4 oz smoked salmon, sliced Ensure all your ingredients are Halal and check for any certifications on the packaging.
  • 4 cups mixed greens
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup capers, drained
  • 1/4 cup fresh chives, chopped
Dressing Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash the mixed greens thoroughly under cold water, then spin dry or pat with a kitchen towel.
  2. Halve the cherry tomatoes and thinly slice the red onion.
Making the Dressing
  1. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper.
  2. Stir until creamy and well-mixed.
Assembly
  1. In a large bowl, combine mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, red onion, capers, and chives.
  2. Gently fold in the sliced smoked salmon.
  3. Drizzle the creamy dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat.
  4. Plate the salad and serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, consume fresh. If leftover, refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat any remaining salmon gently in a pan.
