Ingredients

For the Kabobs

  • 1 lb beef sausage, cut into chunks (ensure they’re Halal) Use smoked sausage if available.
  • 4 medium potatoes, cut into cubes Any type of potato is suitable.
  • 1 bell pepper (optional), cut into chunks Add color and flavor.
  • 1 onion (optional), cut into wedges Enhances flavor and texture.
For Seasoning
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (optional) For added flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by washing and cutting your potatoes, bell pepper, and onion into bite-sized pieces. Make sure the chicken and beef sausage are also chopped and ready.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Adjust seasoning to taste. Add the chicken, sausage, and vegetables, tossing until well-coated.
Assembly
  1. Take your skewers and start threading the ingredients, alternating pieces of chicken, sausage, potatoes, bell pepper, and onion.
Grilling
  1. Preheat your grill. For charcoal, let the coals ash over until glowing. For gas, set it to medium-high heat.
  2. Place the skewers on the grill. Cook for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and the potatoes are tender.
  3. Remove the kabobs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.
Serving
  1. Serve warm with your favorite side dishes or dips!

Notes

Use fresh, high-quality ingredients for the best flavor. Marinading the chicken in spices for an hour can enhance the taste. Avoid overpacking ingredients on skewers for even cooking.
