Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry mixture, stirring until a soft dough forms. Knead gently on a floured surface if necessary.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
- Spread the softened butter over the rolled dough, then sprinkle the brown sugar and ground cinnamon evenly.
- Starting from the long edge of the rectangle, roll the dough into a tight log and pinch the seam to seal.
- Cut the rolled dough into 6 equal pieces and place in a buttered baking dish.
Baking
- Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown.
Icing
- Mix the powdered sugar and milk in a small bowl until smooth and drizzle over the warm rolls after they have cooled slightly.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to a month. Reheat in the microwave or oven.
