Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts Ensure they are thawed for even cooking.
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup chicken broth

Method

Preparation
  1. Rinse the chicken breasts under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. In a small bowl, combine salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub the seasoning mix over both sides of the chicken breasts evenly.
  3. Pour the olive oil evenly over the bottom of the slow cooker. Place the seasoned chicken breasts in a single layer within the slow cooker.
  4. Pour the chicken broth around (but not directly over) the chicken breasts.
  5. Cover the slow cooker and set it on low heat for 6-7 hours or on high heat for 3-4 hours.
  6. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  7. Remove the chicken breasts and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing or shredding. Serve with your favorite sides or enjoy it in wraps.

Notes

You can use frozen chicken breasts if you forget to thaw them. Don't overcrowd the slow cooker to avoid uneven cooking.
